NANCHANG, April 18 (Xinhua) -- The policeman, who tried to rescue three
primary school students in a drowning accident Friday afternoon in eastern
China's Jiangxi Province, was confirmed dead Saturday afternoon, the publicity
department of the local government told Xinhua.
Three four-grade primary school students were swept away when swimming in a
river in Guangchang County Friday afternoon.
The bodies of two students were retrieved at around 4:40 p.m. the same day,
with another student and a policeman who had tried to rescue them missing.
The body of the policeman was found on Saturday afternoon, and the search
continues for the one student still missing.
