HOHHOT, May 6 (Xinhua) -- Seven people were killed and two injured Wednesday after a car bumped into road workers on a section of Beijing-Tibet expressway, police said.
A car from north China's Hebei Province bumped into road workers at around 7 p.m. in Bayannao'er City, Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region.
The driver then lost control of the car before it ran into a roadside engineering vehicle.
The accident killed four passengers in the car and three workers. The two injured, one passenger in the car and one worker, have been sent to hospital.
Police blamed drunk driving for the accident.
