MACAO, April 20 (Xinhua) -- The results of a survey conducted by two local associations showed that 66.7 percent of Macao workers interviewed were "worried" and "very worried" about their jobs, the Macao Post Daily reported on Monday.

The survey, jointly conducted by the Macao Trade Union Federation (FAOM) and the Macao Association of Economic Sciences between September and November last year, interviewed 12,774 locals from different employment backgrounds, according to the daily.

Compared with a similar survey conducted in 2004, the number of workers who said they were "worried" or "very worried" about their jobs went up 4.1 percent, the daily said.

With respect to salary, 63.8 percent of the interviewees said their salaries remained unchanged between last year and 2007, while 12.5 percent said their salaries dropped during the period.
