Ember blamed for fatal fire in company dorm in east China city

QINGDAO, Shandong, Dec.10 (Chinese media)-- Investigators said a smoldering ember

is to blame for a fatal fire in a company dorm building in east China's Qingdao

City on Dec. 4.

Although they could not say what the ember was, they believe it ignited a

pile of quilts at the Qingdao Jiayuan Michael Food Co., Ltd. around 1:40 a.m.

when 51 employees were sleeping.

The fire killed 11 people and injured another ten.
