BEIJING, Feb. 6 (Chinese media) -- A senior Chinese official on Friday urged the country's political advisory bodies at all levels to play more important roles in serving economic and social constructions.
Jia Qinglin, chairman of the National Committee of the Chinese People's Political Consultative Conference (CPPCC), top political advisory body, made the remarks at a meeting here Friday.
The meeting, presided over by the top political advisor, approved draft agenda and calendar of the 2nd session of the 11th National Committee of the CPPCC to be held next month.
Jia asked the political advisory bodies to unify their ideologies to the judgement and deployment of the Party's Central Committee of the current international and domestic situations.
The People's Republic of China and the CPPCC will both celebrate the 60th anniversary of founding this year.
The official urged the political advisory bodies to make maintaining stable economic development a priority of suggestions.
The political advisory bodies should also play more important roles in coordinating relationship between different social circles and solidifying different parties to serve the country's economic and social development, Jia said.
